Chelsea FC is reportedly interested in signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli but may face competition from Manchester United.
According to reports, Chelsea is on the lookout for a new striker this summer to bolster their attacking options, and have identified Osimhen as a potential target. The 22-year-old joined Napoli last year for a fee of around £70 million but has struggled with injury and inconsistent form during his time in Serie A.
However, despite his difficulties, Osimhen has still managed to score 10 goals in 24 appearances for Napoli and is viewed as a player with great potential.
Manchester United is also said to be interested in the Nigerian international, with reports suggesting that the Red Devils are in the market for a new striker to partner Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani up front.
Osimhen has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also reportedly monitoring his progress.
It remains to be seen which club will win the race for Osimhen's signature, but both Chelsea and Manchester United are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer as they look to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.
